Support at Home Package
Support at Home Exercise Physiology
Support at Home is a new in-home aged care program in Australia that replaces Home Care Packages and Short Term Restorative Care programs and it commences in November 2025. It aims to make in-home aged care more flexible, accessible, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Enjoy Therapy Exercise Physiology partners with the Support at Home providers to deliver Exercise Physiology services to older adults across Newcastle and Maitland areas.
Our services are available both in our fully equipped gym at Genesis Fitness Cooks Hill and through Home visits, meaning we can bring expert support directly to your home — wherever you feel most comfortable.
Whether in the Gym or in the comfort of home, our goal is to help seniors stay active, independent, and engaged in the activities they enjoy most.
FAQs
-
Accessing the Support at Home program can be summarised into three steps;
Initially, an older adult requires an aged care assessment and this can be organised by contacting My Aged Care.
After an assessment – an older adult will be provided with a Support at Home package at a particular level.
They then choose an approved Support at Home provider of their choice to deliver and coordinate the services they need.

No two programs are ever the same — we take a highly individualised approach, not a “one-size-fits-all” model. The structure of each program is determined after the initial assessment, where we consider factors such as client goals, exercise preferences, medical conditions, safety, and the latest evidence-based practices.
Programs can be delivered at home, in the gym, online, or within the community — or as a combination of these options to best suit each person’s needs and lifestyle.
